Kate Ackerman

With passions that include traveling, bar soaps, Star Wars, and her beloved Catahoula Leopard Dog, Kate Ackerman is known as many different things: an outdoor adventure junkie, a compulsive list-maker, a baker of cakes (and all things delicious), and a piano plunker. A stereotypical Washington state native, she was a barista for more years than she cares to admit; however, she quickly ditched that profession when she realized that people were willing to pay her to write. Now, she drifts around the world, loving the freedom and opportunity that come with her career as a freelance writer.
